Andy Nyhus wrapped up some Twin Cities birding early and stopped by some
flooded fields in Wabasha County on our way back to Winona Saturday evening.
These fields host shorebirds somewhat regularly in Spring. The whole area east
of Hwy 61 between Wabasha and Kellogg is good.
15 American Avocets, 1 Black-bellied Plover, lots of Franklin's and Bonaparte's
Gulls were seen here:

1 Red-necked Phalarope, 1 Willet, several Dunlin and Semipalmated Plovers were
seen here:
44.3345137,-91.9825552
A Wilson's Snipe was behind us at this location, and the following species were
prevalent throughout the whole area:
Killdeer, Greater and Lesser Yellowlegs, Solitary Sandpiper, Spotted Sandpiper,
Least Sandpiper, Pectoral Sandpiper.
