My issue of the American Bird Conservancy magazine came today. It includes an article "Golden-winged Warbler Conservation in Minnesota: From the Ground Up".
Another is "Still Life with Bird: An Artist Honors Victims of Window Collisions". A new federal study (Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute and USFWS) estimates between 365 and 988 million birds are killed in building collisions in the US each year. And there is an article "Top Five Myths About Wind Power and Birds." and an interview with Ken Kaufmann. The magazine has a male black-throated blue warbler on the cover and the species is featured on the last page "Species Profile". You can read back issues of this quarterly publication on the link below. However, the last issue available is the previous one (from winter 2013). So, if you are not a member of ABC and don't get their publications, check back at this site to read the latest issue about golden-winged in MN. This organization has a very impressive record of habitat and bird conservation throughout the Americas. And the photography is the best I have seen. The more supporters the more they can achieve. http://www.abcbirds.org/newsandreports/birdconservation.html -------------------- Gordon Andersson St Paul ---- Join or Leave mou-net: http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=mou-net Archives: http://lists.umn.edu/archives/mou-net.html
