I got exactly the same message, same dates, numbers of messages with
delivery errors, etc. I called Comcast this morning since I've had some
other email issues and reported this message to them. It looks like a
problem from the MOU end so hope they fix it! I, too, have gotten messages
although the messages have been fewer and more sporadic of late. Had I
known about others getting the same message, I would not have reported it --
something for Comcast to mess up now, I suppose. :-)

Subject: [mou-net] help with being dropped from MOU-NET

Hello,
I hope someone can help me out. I received the message below this morning
regarding being dropped from MOU-NET. I use hotmail and am receiving other
mail at that address. It seems since some of the members on the list use
yahoo, their email bounces when I send a message to the list. Then the
listserve automatically dumps me because me messages have bounced to them.
Can someone help?
Thanks, Molly Thompson

The partial message I received is below:
You have been automatically removed from the MOU-NET list (Minnesota
Birds) as a result of repeated delivery error reports from your mail system.
This decision was based on the list's automatic error monitoring policy, and
has not been reviewed or otherwise confirmed by a person. If you receive
this message, then it means that something is wrong. While you are obviously
able to receive mail, your mail system has been regularly reporting that
your account did not exist, or that you were otherwise permanently unable to
receive mail. Here is some information that may assist you or your local
help desk in determining the cause of the problem:

- The failing address is [email protected].

- The first error was reported on 2014-05-01.

- Since then, a total of 43 delivery errors have been received.

- The last reported error was: 5.1.1 550 5.7.0 (COL0-MC2-F12) Unfortunately,
messages from (134.84.119.32) on behalf of (YAHOO.COM) could not be
delivered due to domain owner policy restrictions.

PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE THIS MESSAGE. While you can re-subscribe to the list,
it is important for you to report this problem to your mail administrator so
that it can be solved. This problem is not specific to the MOU-NET list, and
may also affect your private mail. This means that YOU MAY HAVE LOST SOME
PRIVATE MAIL AS WELL. Anyone trying to write to you during the same time
frame might have received the same errors for the same reason. The MOU-NET
list is only one of the many people who may have tried to write to you while
your mail system was malfunctioning.
