Hi Friends,
This may be of most interest to Duluth area birders.

Today, June 12th, I spotted an adult Parasitic Jaeger flying low over the
harbor/estuary side of Wisconsin Point (Superior, WI). It was harassing
Ring-billed Gulls in the 30mph winds that buffeted the point. It put on quite a
show for about a minute before disappearing to the north. I have photos.

This is one of only a handful of summer jaeger records on Lake Superior. I have
not researched June dates for MN and WI so if someone knows of others, please
let me know.

It certainly has good pickings with about 1,000 gulls along the beach and
harbor and dump today. Why go north!
