My boyfriend, Curt Rawn, Tony Lau and I enjoyed a stroll at Crow-Hassan
Park Reserve (near Rogers) this morning. Here are the highlights:

Lark Sparrow: one foraging along the trail/road that runs west out of the
horse trailer parking lot. This was less than 100 yards west of the first
major trail that runs south from the trail. We got great looks at it as it
kept flying and landing on the trail ahead of us.

Henslow's Sparrow: one or two singing northeast of the intersection of the
west trail/road and prairie trail intersection.

Grasshopper Sparrow: three singing in the same general area as the
Henslow's Sparrows.

Bobolink: one male occasionally sang north of the Henslow's and Grasshopper
Sparrows.

Orchard Oriole: three singing; one adult on the south side of the horse
trailer parking lot, and the two others (with at least one being a first
year male) were singing by the lake on the west side of the prairie trail.

Blue-winged Warbler: two singing; one was a little north of the horse
trailer parking lot, and the other was south of the west trail/road and
prairie trail intersection.

Other nice birds included Common Loon (1), American Kestrel (1), Eastern
Meadowlark (2), Red-shouldered Hawk (1), Yellow-headed Blackbird (2),
Vesper Sparrow (1), and Wood Thrush (3).

To find a map, click on the Summer Map from this website:
http://www.threeriversparks.org/parks/crow-hassan-park.aspx. The area west
of the entrance is the area I'm talking about.

Good birding!
