Spent the morning in Washington county with Herb Dingmann and Ron Erpelding.  
We were able to relocate the previously reported Least Bitterns at the Paul 
Hugo Farms WMA in Northern Washington county.  We also found a few Shorebirds 
at some at some of the previously posted locations.
 
Here are a few of the species we observed:
 
Paul Hugo WMA
Least Bittern - Note that it is about a one mile walk from the parking area, 
along a gravel and dirt access road to the area that the Least Bitterns are 
being observed at. 
Green Heron
Virginia Rail
Sandhill Crane
American Woodcock
Marsh Wren
 
Shorebird locations:
1. North side of 157th Street North, 1/4 mile West of Homestead Avenue North.

Solitary Sandpiper
Lesser Yellowlegs
Least Sandpiper
Baird's Sandpiper
 
2. South East corner of Hudson Road South and Settlers Ridge Parkway.

Spotted Sandpiper
 
3. North side of Hudson Blvd, 1/2 a mile West of Lake Elmo Avenue North.
Killdeer
Short-billed Dowitcher - The Short-billed Dowitcher was feeding behind some 
grass on the West side of the flooded field, around noon.
