I counted 66 birds going down the chimney at the school across the street in St
Paul. But they have been roosting there all spring & summer for many years.
These are all non-breeding birds unless the breeding pairs are heading to the
Amazon already.

I wouldn’t go back to the same place again. Someone on this list might have
seen swifts in their neighborhood in W metro and could tell give you the
location to do a count there. I know they are seenby many in different
locations, but not all of them are counted.
Maybe someone can communicate with Curt.

Subject: [mou-net] Swift count, Hennepin county or Ramsey

I have counted twice this weekend and not had one swift fly in.
I'd like a little encouragement before I "count" tonight. Have you seen many
birds when you were counting? Please reply to the MOU thread, not to me. Others
might need a pep talk, too.

Thanks!
Curt
