As promised, information on the Wildlife Rehabilitation Clinic’s (WRC) Chimney Swift release!
Thanks to all chimney swift sitters! We got good reports in from all around the state. The biggest closest colony for WRC that we could be sure of is at Mahtomedi High School. I was there tonight and it is awesome! Hundreds and hundreds of swifts. So tomorrow we hope the adorable chicks they raised will join that flock. Summary · Thursday 9/4 – begin gathering around 7:15 pm · Chimney Swift presentation by WRC · Release ~7:40 · Enter and park at Mahtomedi Middle School, not the High School. The chimney is on the back of the high school which is at the front of the middle school by their parking lot. · If it looks like rain tomorrow evening or you have questions, call WRC to confirm that the release is on: 651-486-9453 or check our Facebook page<http://createsend.showtheworld.com.au/t/r-l-mdldiht-wlunurj-h/>. If they cancel it, they'll post a note by 6:30pm.
