Last Friday at Carpenter Nature Center we trapped a Black-capped Chickadee that was banded there in February of 2011 as a second year or older bird. So the bird is more than five years old, which is old for a chickadee, and was retraped three months later the same year and again on 3/1/2013, 5/16/2014 and 11/7/2014.
