Earlier today I posted about a Long-eared Owl and it appears that may have been a mis-ID'd bird.
Unlike the Long-eared Owl I saw at Springbrook Nature Center this past spring, I did not get a photo of this bird. So I apologize to those who went looking for it and only found a Great Horned Owl. Although a fun bird to see, it's not quite the thrill as the more rare Long-eared, and in future posts, I promise to be more sure with proof - and hope I am spared a small bit of credibility.
