You can see the 1st and 2nd place photos in each of eight categories here. also the Grand Prize winner (Grey Herons in Hungary at night). Unfortunately the "honorable mentions" arent shown here. (I looked.) The cover of the Dec/Jan issue of "National Wildlife" is an image of male and female Great Blue Herons in a courtship display. The composition, exposure, sharpness, and expression of the two birds heads and necks is startlingly beautiful. I don't know why Jamie Felton's photo was an "honorable mention", but she got the cover. If you don't get the magazine, you might see it at a library.
