Several of us were out on a guided hike by Gary Swanson the naturalist at the Coon Rapids dam and my friend Larry spotted a bird in a tree that turned out to be a rough legged hawk. It’s the first one I've seen there in maybe seven or eight months. It was dark and foggy but I managed to get a couple of photos of it to at least verify what it was.
