As we took a Christmas afternoon walk around Lake Harriet, I noticed several
hundred gulls loafing near the southern edge of the lake, I came back
afterwards with a scope to see what was there. Among the approx 466 gulls were
a 2nd-cycle Glaucous, 3rd-cycle Lesser Black-backed, an adult and a first-cycle
Thayer's, and a few Ring-billed Gulls.
