If you are in the Duluth area and want to see Snowy Owls, the best places to go are the Harbor in Duluth and the best spot is around the Murphy Oil Refinery in Superior. We saw one near Superior High School and another at Murphy Oil. There are approximately 12 owls hanging around so far this winter, with many of them getting banded.
