A new Convention on Migratory Species includes international agreement to 
prevent poisoning of migratory birds and new conservation initiatives for the 
African-Eurasian Flyway.   If you have looked for birds in Africa during the 
northern winter, you know how many species of European birds winter in Africa.  
This agreement is intended to help more than 400 species of North-South flyway 
species.
