Took a drive this morning on the Echo trail north of Ely. Approximately five miles after turning north off of Grant McMahan Blvd we found about 30 Evening Grossbeaks, about 12 Red Crossbills and 8 White- winged Cross bills and 6 Common Redpolls all within a couple 100 yards of each other. Also wolf and moose tracks further up the road after pavement ends. -jerry pruett
