Just before sunset on this cloudy, gloomy day I drove out to the airport. I located a snowy owl on the Wick Hangar about 4:20 pm. I suspect the owl may spend its days on the hangar roof. At 4:35, the Snowy stretched and shortly it flew off to go hunt. I refound the owl around 4:45 on a telephone pole on Airport Approach Road (between the runways and the federal prison camp). I jumped out of the car to take a photo (see my blog), but given the location and the "no parking" signs I did not think I should dally very long. It's a beautiful owl.
