About 1/3 of the canal is open, present are the Common Eider, 4 Northern Pintail, 30 American Black Duck, 40 Common Goldeneye and hundreds of Mallards. Gulls included Thayers, 4 Glaucous, an Iceland, a Great Black-Backed and many Herring.
