This article describes the development of Janssen's new book "Birds of MN State
Parks". He also describes his passion for birds from childhood.

For those of you new to MOU or the listserv, Bob Janssen has written two
editions of Birds of MN (the first with Janet Green). He has also served a
number of years as MOU president. He is "one of the", if not "the", most
experienced and enthusiastic bird watcher, record keeper, and writer and has
contributed a lot to MN ornithology. (Some one else can add more bio if they
want.) This weekend he is teaching field ornithology again at the North House
Folk School in Grand Marais as part of "Northern Landscapes".

(I hope this gets thru to the listserv. I think it is the way to send an
article from the Tribune archive. I called them for assist.)
