An update on active Purple Martin colonies in Hennepin County: All three of our sites are either full or nearly full with nests and quite a few clutches of eggs. Several of the pairs have six eggs as of yesterday. We are still expecting that sub adult martins could be arriving.
For those who might want to see the colonies, they are at French Regional Park (adjacent to the boat rental house), Plymouth; Baker National Golf Course, Medina, close to the driving range, and Eagle Lake Golf Course, Plymouth/Maple Grove, just east of the Club House.
