A nice visit to Felton Prairie this morning netted my 300th Minnesota bird;
the Chestnut-collared Longspur.

Also a few Marbled Godwit flying about and chatting up a storm.

Other notables were: Bobolink, Grasshopper Sparrow, LeConte's Sparrow,
Eastern & Western Kingbird, and Horned Lark.

Thought it was going to rain. We were up by 2:30am and at Felton Prairie by
6:30am.

Found the Chestnut-sided Longspur between the 2nd cattle gate and the top of
the hill (right before the dip).

Awesome day with no rain.

Pete
