At the East Grand Forks sewage lagoons in western Polk County this morning,
there are probably 70+ Eared Grebes. I saw 2 on nests and then watched for a
good hour or so as they were all frantically carrying weeds and building nests.
By the time I left, at least 20-25 nests were visible and they were all still
working. One Common Goldeneye was a little bit of a surprise. The typical
ducks, a few Wilson's Phalaropes, and  flyover Willet, maybe nesting somewhere
around here.
