I have been noticing quite a few great egrets feeding around the savage
area. I work at Minnesota Valley NWR and until about 3-4 years ago we had
a large colony of great blue herons and great egrets along Blue Lake in
Shakopee. There has not been birds there for at least 3 years so we have
been looking if there is a new colony nearby. If anyone knows of any
nesting colonies in the vicinity, please let me know.
