At least eight WILLETS were seen by Brian Smith and others on the 7th at the Park Point Recreation Area ball fields in Duluth. Also seen were AMERICAN GOLDEN-PLOVER, BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER, LESSER YELLOWLEGS, and PECTORAL SANDPIPER. Aaron Stutz saw two early HORNED GREBES on the 7th on Lake Superior at the Larsmont Cottages in Lake County. A BLACK-BACKED WOODPECKER was seen on the 5th in Isabella, at the old environmental learning site just south of Flathorn Lake. The next scheduled update of this report will be on August 13th.
