If You Were a Marbled Godwit, Where Would You Be?

Join us to hear special guest Bridget Olson, Deputy Refuge Manager,
Minnesota
Valley National Wildlife Refuge (formerly at Big Stone Wildlife Refuge)
talk about her multi-year Marbled Godwit study linking their wintering,
stopover, and breeding areas through the use of miniature satellite
transmitters.  Twenty-eight Marbled Godwits were captured from 4 locations
in North America from 2006 - 2008 and tracked until 2010.

*Where*: Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center 3801
American Blvd E, Bloomington.  Accessible by Hiawatha Light Rail line, get
off at the American Blvd. stop.Driving, take Hwy 494 to 34th Ave – go south
to American Blvd; turn left and go 2 blocks. The Center will be on your
right.  Enter through the staff entrance in middle of the building. Meeting
starts at 7:30pm.

*All Minnesota River Valley Audubon Chapter (MRVAC) meetings are free and
open to the public.*
