Near Northfield, Rice Co., this morning John Holden and I retrapped an
American Goldfinch we banded on 1 June 2012. This male was a second-year
bird when banded. Thus the goldfinch is now in its fifth year.

The oldest banded American Goldfinch was at least 10 years, 9 months old (
