2015 sponsored by the Detroit Lakes Regional Chamber of Commerce. You

The day after Thanksgiving is a wonderful day in the northwest, albeit
very cold, near zero. Bountiful sunshine is showing up all the bright
plumage of the wintering species such as woodpeckers and chickadees.
Feeders are busy today as we have a small respite from the strong winds
of yesterday.

>From Lake of the Woods County, Gretchen Mehmel at Norris Camp reported
DARK-EYED JUNCOS, a HARRIS'S SPARROW, and COMMON REDPOLLS on November
20.

Beth Siverhus in Warroad in Roseau County observed both BOHEMIAN
WAXWINGS and PINE GROSBEAKS in the crabapples in her yard this week.
SNOW BUNTINGS were seen on the golf course and a ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK was
observed along MN 11 .

Hal Sanders in Beltrami County saw a SNOWY OWL in downtown Bemidji on
November 17.

Cliff Steinhauer reported that as of November 25, about 5000 SANDHILL
CRANES were still feeding in the harvested cornfields along CR 7 in
Marshall County just west of Agassiz NWR. About 50 BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS
were feasting on the crabapples in Cliff's yard.

In Red Lake County, Anita Vettleson reported that a male NORTHERN
CARDINAL was seen on November 21 in the yard of Krista Bernstein in
Oklee.

Sandy Aubol observed a PINE GROSBEAK in the 700 block of 12th St NW in
East Grand Forks, Polk County, on November 21.

intersection of 100th Ave S and 160th St. S in Clay County on November
22.

County from November 20 to at least November 25. Further information may
be obtained from E-bird. Marshall Howe at Dorset reported 40 BOHEMIAN
