Of interest to Minnesota listers, John Richardson and Lars Benson saw a Gyrfalcon on the Duluth side of the harbor this afternoon. It was first seen flying over I-535 and later spotted on elevator A just east of Garfield Avenue in the Port Terminal area. Whether or not this Gyr is one of the individuals frequenting the Peavey grain elevator is not known at this time, but it is the first time this season that there has been a Gyr reported on the Minnesota side of the harbor.
