I just spent an enjoyable afternoon at the Rapids Lake unit of the MRVNWR in
Carver county. Along with the usual suspects the highlight of the afternoon was
a Northern Harrier that I spotted on the gravel road between the open fields. I
watched it until it flew across the field to the northeast. As it flew to the
farthest part of the field she flushed up a beautiful light gray male! A very
cool sighting.
