Following a guided bird walk this morning in the Mississippi River Gorge in 
South Minneapolis, saw and heard a Merlin flying southwest over 36th Street and 
Edmund Boulevard just west of the Mississippi River @ 11 a.m. A few minutes 
later saw and heard a Golden-winged Warbler and a Northern Parula in same tree 
across the street from the northeast part of Seven Oaks Park, which is located 
just south of 34th Street to the east of 47th Avenue South just west of the 
Mississippi River 1/2 mile south of the Lake Street bridge. Tennessee, 
Nashville, and Yellow-rumped Warblers singing nearby. During the morning bird 
walk saw and heard a Black-throated Green Warbler in the 36th Street oak 
savanna restoration area. Several Warbling Vireos singing this afternoon at T. 
S. Roberts Bird Sanctuary north of Lake Harriet.
