Skip of you do not use AviSys, or don't know what it is. (It is
obsolete, but it still works.)
Jeff Stephenson requested a feature where he would be able to import MOU
sightings into his AviSys database. I found directions about how to do
this on the web page:
http://www.faintlake.com/ebirdtoavisys/
I tried to export my sightings for a county from the Query function on
http://moumn.org
Review Reported Birds -> Query Sightings Database
and selecting the "File (xls)" output type, reading this in excel,
editing the Location field to be the County field and saving it as a csv
file, running this through the above converter and inputting this into
AviSys.
This worked, but the many steps caused me to make errors. A feature was
then added to the Query function to be able to generate the Avisys "str"
file directly. There are now instructions on how to use this function
on the Query Database page.
Jeff then wanted to get only the first record for each county. This can
be done by going to
Checklists -> Personal Month Checklists
and clicking on "AviSys (str)" below "County Record List (by date)".
This feature is of very limited use, but please feel free to try it out
if you use AviSys.
