(Posted by John Richardson <[email protected]> via moumn.org) The Great Egret was seen by many from the overlook at Hawk Ridge Bird Observatory, not 40th Ave West/Erie Pier (as reported in the weekly Duluth round-up), which is currently not open the public without written consent from the Port Authority/US Corps of Engineers.
There was a previously reported Great Egret from 40th Ave by others on other various social media outlets earlier this summer, but I believe was not widely reported due to the restricted location.
