I found a Cattle Egret mixed in with about 30 Great Egrets around 1:30 this afternoon. The Egrets were hanging out in some short, green grass along a drainage ditch of off CR 8. The ditch runs from the spillway off of Little Kandiyohi Lake along the east-west portion of CR 8.. This is about 4-5 miles south of US Hwy 12. The Egrets were a couple hundred yards south of CR 8, so a scope is recommended.
