This morning I enjoyed watching an immature Long-tailed Duck on Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis. It was sunny, and calm on the lake ideal for observing this alcids unique diving style all by itself out in the middle of the lake. A scope would be necessary to see this constantly diving sea duck.
