Late this afternoon Brad Nelson called to tell me he found a Long-tailed Duck on Lake Ripley in Litchfield. It was about 150 feet off the eastern shore, straight out from the boat launch. This is just south of the city park.
According to the MOU database, Lake Ripley is a hotbed of sea duck activity spanning many years (all Scoter species, LT Ducks, Barrow's Goldeneye). Brad Nelson also found a Surf Scoter on Ripley about two weeks ago. ---- Join or Leave mou-net: http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=mou-net Archives: http://lists.umn.edu/archives/mou-net.html
