Thanks to everyone who provided info about birding the river around Brownsville and beyond.
For those who have been asking, here's one response I received. Looking forward to heading down that way this weekend. Happy birding, everyone! Thousand of ducks in Pool 8 and Pool 9 right now. Brownsville or Reno Dike both have great viewing. This last weekend I saw several thousand canvasbacks and lesser scaup as well as hundreds of other divers and dabblers. Tundra Swans and eagles too. Also some Snow Buntings along the rocks of the dike.
