This year MRVAC has budgeted almost $ 10,000 to support various conservation, education, and nature related programs including: -busing inner city students to the Minnesota River Valley Wildlife Refuge -hiring an intern at the Minnesota River Valley Wildlife Refuge -teaching conservation and environmental concerns in elementary schools in our area -programs at local nature centers -supporting the Sax/Zim Bog Nature Center -programs at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum -programs at Hunt Hill and Northwoods Audubon Centers -supporting the Minnesota Ornithologists Union, the Raptor Center, the Wildlife Rehab Center -and more Pretty good for an organization of just over a thousand members.
Tomorrow (Thursday) is our big fund raising auction from 6 to 9 pm at the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center: 3815 American Blvd E, Bloomington.
