Hi All, I did some leisurely birding in Rock and Pipestone Counties today, but didn't turn up a whole heck of a lot. I was surprised to turn up a pair of SHORT-EARED OWLS and a BARRED OWL at Blue Mounds State Park, including having both species in the binocular view at the same time! Split Rock Creek State Park held a group of about ~1500 waterfowl, almost entirely Canada Geese, but included all 5 regular Goose species (2 Snow, 1 Ross's, 130 Cackling, 30 GWFG), along with Mallards and a single hen American Wigeon.
Aside from some wandering skeins of Canada Geese, Jackson Co. produced almost nothing. Danny Akers Spirit Lake, IA Get Outlook for iOS<https://aka.ms/o0ukef> ---- Join or Leave mou-net: http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=mou-net Archives: http://lists.umn.edu/archives/mou-net.html
