[mou-net] Swan question

Looking through pictures - Dec 8 Trumpeter Swans in Virginia. One has a yellow 
band, maybe 2” wide, around its neck not far above the breast. Looks like it 
has writing on it. Band of some sort? I would be happy to send you the pic, not 
great focus. What is it? Thanks.
