A male Belted Kingfisher was hunting in the backwaters just west of the 35 E bridge this afternoon; first time seen at Crosby Park since late summer. Also, the Bald Eagle was back on the nest, on the north side of the bigger lake. (Be aware the trail there is quite muddy in spots, due to springs.) Linda Whyte
