Does anyone know if the GH Owl used the nest near I-694 and old 5 this year? I know an owl has used it a number of years but did not see anything there this year. (Doesn't mean nothing was there, we just didn't see anything on one or two trips by earlier.) We stopped to look today and just as we stopped, a red-tailed hawk flew to the nest carrying either food or nesting materials, couldn't really tell which in a very quick view. The hawk then settled down in the nest so likely has some eggs. I know owls use other birds' nests so thought I'd ask here.
