Early this morning I observed 7 Willets on Lake Calhoun from Thomas Beach in Minneapolis, Hennepin County. I enjoyed watching them forage, preen, and rest then their distinctive striking black and white wing pattern, and calls as the resident Bald Eagle swooped down at them and they flew out over the lake.
