Bird was still coming regularly into the evening.
Some more logistics - enter the U driveway from the east (northeast) end
(if you are facing the house this will be the right side). The driveway
is narrow and as you drive around the house, the feeders will be on your
left as soon as you pass the house. The feeders are very close to Dan
and Sheila's house (just a few feet from window). The bird frequents the
same black feeder (seen in eBird pics) most often from the west side
(right as you face the back of the house) and frequently Ts up on a
red/orange post. Dan and Sheila said the bird starts showing up around
900- 930 am. They are frequently in and out of the house and this does
not keep the bird from coming back to the feeders.
Dan and Sheila are very kind people and gracious hosts. In the sort
time they have been accepting visitors for this bird they have had some
not so positive experiences with a few birders. Please be good visitors!
Thanks!

There is a male Painted Bunting visiting feeders at a home near Cannon
City. (I just posted a photo on MOU home page.)
I asked the homeowners, Dan and Sheila Bossmann, whether they would mind if
other birders came to look for it, and they said all were welcome.
The location is just south of Cannon City on CR 20 (Cannon City Blvd). Look
for fire sign 18800 on the west side of the road. They have a U-shaped
driveway, and the feeders are in back if the house. Pull into the driveway
and watch the feeders from your car in back. They ask just that you be
careful not to block any vehicles parked there.
Gene Bauer and I saw the bunting twice within a period of about 40" this
afternoon, along with a number of other birds, so it does visit the feeders
periodically.
Incidentally, a good shorebird spot has recently arisen with the
construction of a new holding pond just south of Northfield, so you might
want to check that out on your way back. It is at the junction of Gates Ave
and CR 22.
