Field trip Report

The Warblers arrived right on time, with large numbers of them in the trees 
along the Hill Side trail.  The group observed 18 species of Warblers and a 
Harris's and Clay-colored Sparrow there.

Here are a few of the species observed by our group:

Sora - Heard only
Sandhill Crane - Heard only
Chimney Swift
Ruby-throated Hummingbird
House Wren
Red-headed Woodpecker
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Ruby-crowned Kinglet
Swainson's Thrush
Gray-cheeked Thrush
Ovenbird, Northern Waterthrush, Golden-winged, Black-and-white, Tennessee, 
Nashville, Common Yellowthroat, American Redstart, Northern Parula, Magnolia, 
Bay-breasted, Yellow, Chestnut-sided, Palm, Yellow-rumped, Black-throated Green 
and Wilson's.
Clay-colored Sparrow
Harris's Sparrow
White-throated Sparrow
Baltimore Oriole

Here are the dates of some upcoming MNWR bird walks.  The walks begin at 8:00 
am and there is no fee for the walk.

June 12 - Bass Ponds
