A male scarlet tanager has been here for a week or so, and a male summer tanager for a few days. They have been coexisting peacefully, but today the summer tanager started chasing the scarlet tanager. The scarlet would land and the summer would take after him. Maybe it was an inter-tanager thing, but then the summer tanager was feeding on the ground, a catbird landed close to him, and the tanager went after the catbird. Must be a ticked-off tanager. The catbird backed off. ---- Join or Leave mou-net: http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=mou-net Archives: http://lists.umn.edu/archives/mou-net.html
