I'm posting this in case it turns out to be the real deal. I'll admit I'm
not completely sure. I saw an ibis today at North Ottawa Impoundment that
is likely the same bird others have reported as a White-faced. As I scoped
it, I could not find any red on the face of this adult and the face marks
appeared more consistent with Glossy, but I have no experience with Glossy
Ibis.

I got what photos I could with my point and shoot camera, but could not
review them in the field. Upon reviewing the photos at home, I continued
to suspect possible Glossy Ibis again.

The ibis was with Cattle Egrets and Great Egrets in the southeast quadrant
of the impoundment. I accessed via the east end of 250th, then took the
first turn south all the way to the end--the location was reported
previously and is also good for viewing Western and Eared Grebes.

I would appreciate feedback confirming or refuting the Glossy Ibis ID from
experienced observers. Zooming way in to the second photo probably best
shows the face.
