We took a drive through Carlos Avery today. We did not see any warblers but
did have an interesting afternoon none-the-less, our list included: Red-eyed
vireo, Bluebirds, Olive-sided Flycatcher, Kingfisher, Least Flycatcher (I
think, not a good view, but there were 2), Phoebe, Sandhill Cranes -- about 6,
Pied-billed grebe -- several, Great Egret -- at least 15, many roosting in
trees; literally hundreds of Tree Swallows! Harris's Sparrow (juvenile), and
Cedar Waxwing.

In our Roseville yard this morning we had several Redstarts, a Chestnut Sided
Warbler, Nashville Warbler, two juvenile Cardinals plus the other usual
suspects. All in all, it was a good day.
