Hello MOU-net subscribers, this is another reminder that this year's Paper
Session will be held at the *Minnesota Landscape Arboretum* on *Saturday,
Dec. 2*. If you've ever attended one of our Paper Sessions, you know that
the event has always been held at the Bell Museum of Natural History on the
Minneapolis campus of the University of Minnesota. As the Bell Museum
transitions to its new home in a brand new building on the St. Paul campus
of the U at the corner of Larpenteur and Cleveland, the MOU continues to
work with the museum and its staff on future events and opportunities for
collaboration. The new building, however, does not contain a space large
enough to hold an event for the amount of people that attend the Paper
Session each year, and thus as the old building undergoes renovations the
MOU has been afforded the opportunity to make a transition of its own in
finding a new location for the Paper Session.

Thus we are very excited to be hosting the Paper Session at the Minnesota
Landscape Arboretum in Chanhassen! I know that most of us have been to the
arboretum at some point in our lives, whether it was for a walk through its
many gardens and native flower beds, chasing a Summer Tanager (present for
two summers in a row now), or perhaps attending a wedding or other venue.
Some might not know that the arboretum has undergone some major changes of
its own in the last fifteen years, adding a larger visitor center that not
only looks beautiful and is more functional but also contains a
state-of-the-art auditorium for hosting larger events, the MacMillan
Auditorium. It is in this auditorium where the MOU will be hosting its
Paper Session in December. Check out the arboretum's website for more
information about the space: http://www.arboretum.umn.edu/

Another bonus for MOU Paper Session attendees: the regular arboretum
admission fee of $15.00 will be waived, and there is plenty of free parking
right next to the building!

While the MOU will continue to cherish memories of Paper Sessions past in
the old Bell Museum, we are eager to make new memories at the Minnesota
Landscape Arboretum. See you in December!
