(Posted by Mike North <[email protected]> via moumn.org) On Tuesday there were 2-3 great gray owls along Hwy 89 on the Red Lake Reservation. We saw 1 in the morning, and 2 in the afternoon at the same location as the morning observation. A third owl was also nearby in the PM but we did not identify it. Hwy 89 crosses the Clearwater-Beltrami County Line at two locations. The great grays were in Clearwater Co just south of the northern location were Hwy 89 crosses the county lines; they were between the County line and where Hwy 89 meets back with the shoreline of Lower Red Lake.
