The Bald Eagles are on their nest at Bolson Slough WPA- the farthest-south
slough in the
Sweetwater/Bolland Slough WMA/WPA, visible to the west from LqP CR 9 by the
Greenhouse
Sign. This morning I saw 1 bald head poking up.

Moving north to the Hwy 75 Dam at the south end of Big Stone NWR... there is a
Bald Eagle
nest to the East, and today at around 2:00 I observed one mate bringing some
food (couldn't
tell fish from mammal) to its mate.

The Lac qui Parle State Park Evening Grosbeak has not been seen since last
Friday.
At the dam by the LQP Mission, there are lots of Redheads and Scaup (G & L),
but no new
waves of waterfowl since the snow.

Yesterday, I had my FOY Meadowlarks (don't ask Western v. Eastern; I was
driving, and they
were flying) just a mile north of Canby along Yellow Medicine CR 13.

Also, yesterday afternoon on the same route, I had a Long-Eared Owl fly across
CR 13 about
2 miles north of Canby; it came from a dense evergreen farm grove just north of
the golf
course, or 2 miles due north of Canby on Yellow Med CR 13.
